Soloist Accompaniment Version of Album:
Hymns and Songs of My Mother

This is more tentatively planned, and will be developed following instrumental version - target TBD

This singalong/karaoke for soloists version will be tailored for use by soloists. The lead is removed from the mix, but other additional vocal harmonies remain. This enables soloists to use this as their accompaniment for performing these hymns and songs.

Additionally, this soloist version is explicitly tailored for use by untrained singers, i.e., those accustomed to having a clear melody guiding their sing-along. Therefore, this soloist's version includes a perceptible melody at all times for the soloist to know exactly where they are in the accompaniment they are singing along with. Thus, we are including the melody on all numbers. While the choice to include melody throughout is a departure from accompaniments commonly used by trained singers without a melody accompaniment, we explicitly chose to include a clear melody to serve as guidance/support for what and where novice church soloists are to sing.

Anticipated settings where this approach better meets the needs of soloists, includes churches and homes where there is no band, organist, director, etc. to assist the soloist in knowing where to come in and what to sing. In addition to the melody, this soloist version also provides a complete accompaniment for the soloist to sing along with.
